I am an East Coast based UX Designer who gains energy from creating meaningful and impactful interactions between humans and technology.

Want to dive deeper into my world?

first, names!

Legally, I'm Victoria but everyone in my world calls me Vivy :)

(pronunciation: vee-vee)

my journey to ux

Since I was young I've always emphasized purposeful interactions through my relationships with others, from being a receptionist at my mom's nail shop at 7 years old to volunteering weekly at local nursing homes at 17. With my ability to connect with others and growing alongside the advancement of technology, the core of my work comes from the passion for creating a harmonious relationship between the two.

education

I am a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelors Degree in Information Science and a specialization in Data Science. Go Terps!

With courses such as user-centered design, ux/ui design, digital curation, user needs and assement, information ethics, database design and modeling, and data visualization I have gained critical experience understanding the process and trends of UX design, alongside utilizing data to create effective visuals.

aspiring popstar

Growing up with a rockstar dad who was lead singer in his band, music and singing has always been apart of who I am. Singing alone in my shower has fueled my popstar needs thus far, but I'm still dreaming of the day I'll get

✨ discovered✨.

gym rat

I started strongly prioritizing my health and fitness after discovering lifting about 4 years ago, now I organize my schedule to fit a workout in everyday!

I am tiny but mighty.

full-time fashionista

Synonymous with my love for creating beautiful interfaces, I love getting creative and putting outfits together that emphasize my personality and defy current trends.

builds relationships

Having a user-centered approach in my design philosophy has enabled me to be enriched in the lives and stories of the most unique and wonderful humans. Designing opens many doors to having complex and compassionate human connections, where my skillset can be utilized to make a greater impact (personally & professionally).

challenges my curiosity

A designer needs to be curious; curious of new technologies, curious of differing perspectives, curious of complex problems. But I've learned a great designer challenges and implements experimentation of those curiosities to bring forth solutions of clarity and thought.

learning & more learning

Designing fuels my constant learning as I apply disciplines and heuristics across the board from psychology to data science throughout my design process.
